Biography:
Akol was told this week that he would not be accepted into the university, and the school has released the 6-foot-11 freshman power forward Teeng Akol from his scholarship

Teeng, a native of the Sudan, competed at Our Savior New American in Centereach, New York in 2006-07. He had a solid season for OSNA, showing the ability to score from the perimeter as well as deliver points around the rim.

He then transferred to IMG. Rated 42nd best center in the country by ESPN.com and 60th best power forward by Scout.com.

Akol also attended African Hope Learning Center in Cairo, Egypt.
