4-star prospect by Scout.com was one of the more sought after D-ends in the country. After redshirting at Independence in '06, had a monster year in 2007, recording 13 ½ sacks (school record) and 15 tackles for loss among his 63 tackles overall. Had a total of 15 tackles for loss and also forced three fumbles, recovered three fumbles, and batted down four passes. Originally signed with Louisville out of high school, but never made it, and will have three years of eligibility remaining. Bedford was a key signing for the Bulls in ’08, and will give them a force opposite of George Selvie. Chose USF over Miami, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, West Virginia and Oklahoma State..
