Biography:
2007 USF: Used a redshirt season.

Laffyette High School -Powe, is a 6-foot-3, 235 pound defensive end that has been a force on the D-line this year. Powe was a First team all-state in Class 1A. 78 tackles, including 16 for losses. Eight sacks, and 3 forced fumbles. Most Outstanding Defensive Player and a co-captain on team. Attends same high school as USF receiver Marcus Edwards. Lettered four times in football and three in basketball. Cousin of NFL first round pick Reggie McGrew.

“Darren is Built, he’s a lean 235 pounds, he’s young and has room to grow.” said HS coach Joey Pierson.” Darren is explosive and strong, he really caught on last year, and will have a tremendous career ahead of him.”
