| Biography: |
2007 USF Redshirt freshman Carlton Mitchell had a breakout year for the Bulls in '07. After injuries to other receivers Carlton stepped up his game and leads all USF receivers with 537 yards on 37 receptions (14.51 avg.) and 4 scores. Mitchell showed big play potential with a 55 yard TD against West Virginia, 75 yard score against UCF, and a 75 yard score at Pitt.
2006 USF - Mitchell is a big receiver but is also a burner, running in the 4.4-4.5 range with excellent hands. He will get a chance to compete this summer, but with the receiving core returning from a strong spring showing, he will have plenty of time to make an easy transition to the college game rather than being immediately thrown into the fire.
Gaither High School, Lutz, Fla.- He was ranked the 19th best player in Tampa Bay area by St. Petersburg Times, and was ranked the 87th best player in Florida according to Scout.com. He was Honorable mention all-county in Tampa Tribune. He had nine catches for 207 yards as a junior. He also a Three-year letterman in football and basketball |
