| Biography: |
2007 USF:- As a true freshman earned time in the regular rotation on the defense’s interior line and played in 10 games. Collected seven tackles, five solo, and three tackles for loss. Also recovered a fumble, and had a sack and fumble recovery against Syracuse. Showed a ton of potential and put among favorites for starting time in 2008.
Pensacola High School:
Class 3A first team all-state. MVP in Max Emfinger Shreveport All-American Bowl Game. Also won MVP of Pensacola East-West All-Star Game. 63rd ranked player by Scout.com. 65 tackles with eight sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 2 fumble recoveries, and a blocked kick as a senior. Was named defensive MVP. He is a Two-year All-Area first teamer, and was also named a Pensacola Super Senior. McClain has the size the Bulls were looking for, and he could be one of the few recruits from this class to see immediate playing time.
As a junior McClain had a great year for a defensive lineman with 65 tackles, eight sacks and one forced fumble. He was a three-year starter for Pensacola.
