2007 USF: Redshirt-sophomore stepped up and had a breakout season with 35 receptions, 418 yards and four TDs. As a go to guy, was second on the Bulls in both receiving yards (418) and reception (31). Tied for team lead in TD receptions (4). Against Auburn , Hester led all Bulls receivers with 6 catches for 64 yards, including a 14 yard touchdown pass from Matt Grothe to give the Bulls the overtime win over the Tigers. Also had 6 catches against UConn, and had TDs against UCF, Rutgers and Cincinnati. Highest yardage output was 64 against Auburn. Had a reception in 10 straight games.Position coach Mike Canales said he was the most improved wide receiver entering the season.
2007 USF (Spring) - Hester had a strong spring session and is listed as a starter on the Bulls two-deep roster.
2006 - USF: After being one of only five true freshmen to play in the 2005 season, Hester was having a good spring and catching every ball thrown his way before a dislocated shoulder caused him to miss the end of spring practice. He was recovering from his injury to fight for position in the slot over the summer, then opted to use a redshirt season.
2005 USF: He saw action in 9 games on the season catching 3 passes for 37 yards, 2 rushes for -11 yards, and 1 punt return for 16 yards
GLADES CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL: First team all-county and all-conference. Tampa Tribune ranked him 38th top prospect in Florida. Ranked as 97th top prospect in Florida by Orlando Sentinel. Played senior year at Glades Central after two years at Wellington High. Ran sprints for track team.
