2007: Played in 13 games mostly as a blocking TE, catching 3 passes for 18 yards. By the spring he put on 5 pounds (245) and during the spring played TE and long snapper and will compete this summer at both positions.
2006: Had been projected as a top backup to senior Will Bleakley, but shoulder injury curtailed his full availability. Never gave in, playing all season despite the injury. Played in 10 of the 13 games, both at tight end and on special teams. Had his lone career catch thus far on a crucial 14-yard pickup to the nine-yard line for a first down to set up what would prove to be the game-winning touchdown at West Virginia (11/25). Had opportunity to play in home state when Bulls closed season in Birmingham at Papajohns.com Bowl (12/23) with win over East Carolina.
2005: Utilized his redshirt season while working at tight end and some at long snapper.
McGILL-TOOLEN HIGH SCHOOL - Talented pass catcher who finished his senior season with 29 catches for 503 yards. He was an honorable mention all-state in class 6A, and was all-region. He also participated in track where he was indoor state champion in shot put, and finished sixth in the state in outdoor, also threw javelin, and discus.
