3-star recruit ranked as the 43rd best offensive guard prospect nationally by Scout.com in 2006. Talented prospect capable of playing on the offensive or defensive line. Three-time all-state selection and two-time first team all-county choice. Named 46th-best player in the state by the Orlando Sentinel as a senior. Recorded nine sacks and 25 tackles for loss as a senior. Originally signed with Florida State as part of the 2007 class, but had clearing house issues. Chose USF over offers from Florida State, Clemson, Ole Miss and West Virginia.
