| Davis had secured nearly twenty offers prior to choosing NC State. The Wolfpack, South Florida, Central Florida, Louisville, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, and Nebraska were some of the schools who had offered the Pasco High standout.
A first-team all-county and all-conference selection, Davis totaled 45 catches for 945 yards and eight touchdowns during his senior season. He also tallied 54 tackles and six interceptions on defense.
