Caprice Taking Visits, Decision Looming

Edsel Caprice, a 6'2-200 pound All-State DE/OLB from Cape Coral HS has accumulated double-digit offers. Caprice recently narrowed his list down to 5 schools in June, and after visiting two ACC school last week has plans on visiting USF. Edsel Caprice, a 6'2-200 pound rising senior at Cape Coral HS opened some eyes after his junior season where he registered 110 tackles, 18 for-a-loss, 20 sacks, and forced seven fumbles, earning First Team All Area, and a class 4A First Team All State selection at defensive end, but is being projected to slide back to OLB at the next level.

The Hybrid DE/OLB with 4.5 speed and a 39 inch vertical has seen his recruitment take off as he's accumulated nearly double-digit offers from schools like West Virginia, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Purdue, Connecticut, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota and USF to name a few.

Recently Caprice trimmed his list down to five schools, USF, Wake Forest, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Last week visited two of those schools, North Carolina, and Wake Forest, and those visits

"Wake Forest was nice, but I really liked North Carolina, it was a real comfortable environment, I liked all the coaches," said Caprice. "Taking the visits was very important in helping me narrow things down to find the place I want to be."

Caprice had a top five schools going into the visits, and said that the two visits affected his list of favorites.

"It's just UNC and USF really," said Caprice. "Those are the two that are standing out to me."

"I may still take a visit to West Virginia just to see how it is up there. I'm not sure that I will visit at all, but if I do, it'll be around the first week of August with my teammate Prince Holloway."

Caprice has been high on the Bulls for some time now, and after already visiting USF twice already, has plans to make a return trip with his family.

"I'll be visiting USF again on the 13th," said Caprice. That way both my parents can see how they like it."

The Cape Coral standout talks about what keeps the Bulls at the top of his list.

"I still have a good feeling about USF, the coaches, and the football program," said Caprice. "I can see myself playing there for the next four years, and enjoying it."

The three-star prospect Caprice said that he won't wait until the end to make his choice and his decision of where he'll be playing his college ball could be coming soon.

"I may commit soon after the USF visit," said Caprice. "If I decide to go on the visit to West Virginia, then I may wait until soon after that visit."
