Tarik Cook, a 6-2, 290-pound center from Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, GA made a return trip to UCF on Wednesday and decided that he saw enough to pledge his services to the Knights, the first school that offered him.
“I just wanted to let you know that I committed to Central Florida,” said Cook. “I fell in love with the academics and the team GPA, and just fell in love with the facilities and the campus around there. I got to talk with some of the players and felt like I fit in there.”
The 3-star prospect ranked the country's No. 8 center prospect chose UCF over offers from USF, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Connecticut, Ole Miss, UCF WKU, and Buffalo.
“They were my first offer, and you’re supposed to go to who wants you the most, said Cook. “I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, but right now I’m just happy that I committed to Central Florida, It would take a lot for another school to come in and pull me away from UCF.
