USF Climbs to 17 in AP & 18 in Coaches Poll

After playing their home opener as a ranked team and routing UT Martin 56-7. The Bulls moved up to No. 17 (AP) & 18 (Coaches) when both Polls were released after the holiday weekend.

USF opened the season for the first time as a top 25 ranked team Saturday and played liked that’s where they belong, routing the UT Martin 56-7. Poll voters thought the same as the Bulls moved up in both Polls after the holiday weekend.

The Bulls continue their climb and moved up three spots to No. 18 in the USA Today poll, and also climbed two spots to No. 17 in the AP poll that was released Tuesday.

For their next challenge USF will face UCF when they travel to Orlando Saturday at 7 p.m. This is the last regular-season showdown of the ‘War on I-4’.

The Bulls have won the last three meetings against the Knights, including last years 64-12 decisive win when Matt Grothe scored 4 TD's, two through the air & two on the ground and the defensive had 16 TFL's, 4 sacks, and held UCF to 145 total yards.
