The USF football team’s strength & conditioning department has gone high tech. This past February the Bulls added a new interactive video record board that allows current players to compare their performance against their teammates and former USF all-time greats.
The system is comprised of a 50-inch plasma screen & a touch screen display that is powered by a computer with a data base of all USF player’s testing numbers to date. By allowing players to compare their performance against their teammates, it becomes a tool to help motivate the team inside the weight room.
The days of numbers on a chalkboard or greaseboards could be gone. The interactive video record board that starts of with a very impressive highlight reel, keeps tracks of current records by ten positions DL, OL, DB, LB, RB, DE, QB, WR, & SP, and overall.
The records are comprised of all the combine stats such as Agility, Bench Press, Broad Jump, 225 Bench Reps, 300-Yard Shuttle, Vertical Jump, 40-Yard Dash.

The device also stores All-Time Records from current USF players and all time Bulls. So the players can compete against their teammates and with players that were the building blocks of the program such as Andre Hall, Stephen Nicholas, & Mike Jenkins.
When potential prospects visit and take a tour of the facilities, the high tech toy also becomes a recruiting tool. In this computer age, the user friendly platform allows the recruits to see how they stack up, adds to the visit experience, and so far has gotten great reviews.
In this video USF Strength Coach Ronnie McKeefery gave USFNation.com an exclusive behind-the-scenes look, and walks us through the Bulls newest addition.
