Tallahassee TE Favors Bulls

After signing one top tight end the Bulls are now focusing in on another. Ja'Baris Little from Tallahassee Lincoln has been offered by USF. Find out why he has South Florida number 1, who else has offered and what his plans are for the summer. Only on USFNation.com!

After receiving a verbal commitment from Vanguard's Jeff Hawkins, the Bulls are focusing in on a new target. His name is Ja'Baris Little from Tallahassee's Lincoln High School. Every year there are close to a half a dozen kids that move on to the college level from Lincoln and this year Ja' Baris will be part of that group. He already has several offers including Minnesota, North Carolina State, South Florida, Iowa State and Alabama. At 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds he has the ability to play a number of positions at the next level. However, most schools see him as a tight end.

This year USF will try to bring in two top tight ends and Little is at the top of their list. He has great hands and is also a powerful blocker in the run game. Something that most pass-catching tight ends lack.

"I've been staying busy." Said Little, "I run, hit the sleds and workout with the team. I also play on the basketball team and the track team."

With so much going on it's hard for Ja'Baris to think about recruiting.

"I don't really have a top 5, but of the teams I have been offered by I would say I like USF, Alabama, Minnesota and Iowa State."

Here is what he said about each school.

Minnesota- "I like the coaches there. We text back and forth."

Iowa State- "I haven't gotten to know them as much as I'd like, but I like the program."

USF- "Carlton Hill is my cousin, that plays a factor and I like the city. I've met the coaches a couple times also."

Alabama- "I like the history and quality of competition in the SEC."

This summer Ja'Baris plans to visit a couple schools and see what they have to offer. As of now he's not sure which ones, but Minnesota will most likely be getting a visit.

"I want to go there and check it out. Just to see what its like and find out if it's a place I could consider going even though it is so far away."

Other teams showing Little interest are FSU, UCF, Clemson and Southern Miss. The Bulls have been on him from the beginning and have not backed off. Stay with USFNation.com as we follow Ja'Baris Little through his summer, and find out if USF will get a visit.
