The 6'1-185 pound receiver had offers from Maryland, Louisiana-Lafayetten and Florida International, and South Carolina was trying to get him to go on a visit.
"I went to a bunch of camps this past summer, but I really liked what I saw at South Florida, and when they offered I decided that was where I wanted to be."
Richardson lead the Titans with 372 yards on 21 receptions with 3 touchdowns receiving. He also has 2 punt returns for scores this season, and was Woodham's number one return man.
"He's a great kid, and a great athlete, but he's still learning the game of football, this is only his second year of playing." Said Titan head coach Michael Smith. "Patrick is an explosive player, and has had to deal with three different quarterbacks this season, right now we're playing a 14 year old."
Last year was his first year playing football, and he busted onto the scene, and was named first team all-area, and first team All-Northwest Florida.
"He's a dominant player for us, and we try and get the ball in his hands"
He also plays basketball and competes in a track, and excels in high jump and long jump
"I've seen a few games this season on TV. I know that they have a few pretty good receivers leaving this year and I think it's time for me to step in and make some plays for the Bulls."
Qualification won't be an issue as he has a core G.P.A. of 3.6 but his average is over 4.0, and scored a 22 on his ACT.
