The 6'2-240 pound bruising full back chose the Bulls over FSU, Ole Miss, and Alabama
"I chose USF mainly because it's close to home. Me, my mom and my family sat down and talked about it and decided this was the best thing, especially if I get home sick. Also the program is doing really good, and their going to do even better in the future."
Kelly was a four starter and was the captain of the Raiders football team this season that went 10-2 For the season, Kelly carried the ball 145 times and gained 12,00 yards, averaging 8.3 yards per carry, with 16 touchdowns, 15 catches for 285 yards and a receiving score. Kelly was also recently named to the district senior all-star team.
"He's a big back that can block and can also catch the ball out of the backfield. Being an I-formation team first he's our fullback, and he can devastate linebackers. Said Sumter head coach Inman Sherman "He benches about 360 pounds already. He runs a 4.57, and is a punishing runner with big strong hands.
Kelly can play either fullback or line up as a tailback, and can produce from either.
"He's a bull; he runs the ball like a bull, that's the best way to put it. He also has a quickness that he can stop and move and change direction pretty well."
Grades shouldn't be an issue as Kelly has a 3.1GPA
"There is no doubt this is where I want to be, I'm 100 percent a Bull"
