The Bulls who were down 10-7 to UCF at the half, responded with a 17 point
second half
capped by a 27 yard touchdown pass from Matt Grothe to Ean Randolph to take the lead with
3:20 left in the game. Matt Grothe led the Bulls in passing and in rushing,
completing 21 of 31 passing attempts for 302 yards and three touchdowns, with
only one interception on a tipped ball. Grothe also rushed 21 times for 73
yards, and earned the Big East Offensive Player of the Week award. Ean Randolph
was the Bulls leading receiver with 126 yards on 5 catches including the game
winning score.
USF vs. UCF Game Notes:
- Matt Grothe accounted for 375 of the Bulls 433 total yards.
- Grothe was 3 for 3 passing including a 7 yard touchdown pass to Ean
Randolph on the teams first drive.
