Is one of the top CB's in state visiting USF?

Marcus Udell of Godby High School in Tallahassee is one of the best un-committed corners in the state, and he is thinking about visiting USF. Only USFnation.com has the scoop on these new developments, find out who else could get his final visit and what he thinks about USF.

Marcus Udell, 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, has big time speed and quickness. He is physical enough to match up against bigger receivers and is fast enough to cover the quicker guys. He can also hit hard enough to play the safety position. As a senior at Godby High School he had 8 picks, 18 break-ups and 50 tackles. These stats are a bit skewed due to the fact that teams began avoiding him late in the season.

Udell has received offers from LSU, Clemson, Florida, South Carolina and Alabama to name a few. It isn't until recently that he has seriously considered USF. He has already visited Alabama, North Carolina State and Maryland. Next week he goes to LSU, but his last visit is up for grabs. Originally it was going to be South Carolina but now the 3 star corner is thinking about traveling south to Tampa.

"My coach and I are going to talk it over tomorrow." Says Udell, "I have been looking at depth charts and doing a lot of thinking to decide who will get my last visit."

Although Udell didn't have USF on his list early in the year, he still followed their progress throughout the season.

"I know USF in an up-and-coming program." Adding, "I watched the entire game when they played Louisville and saw what USF is all about."

Udell says that when he graduates his Aunt (whom he lives with) is moving to Tampa. He says she is not influencing his decision, but she would prefer he stay in state. The only offers he has from in state would be UF and South Florida. However, Udell says he won't be going to UF because "it's just not going to happen". That leaves USF as the only other option if he chooses to go to school in Florida.

As of now he is pretty much wide-open and will make a decision either after his final visit or on signing day. Check back with USFnation.com to find out if Udell picks the Bulls for his final visit.
