Julius Has Five Schools out Front

With offers from the likes of Auburn, Florida, Mississippi, Ohio State and Oregon State, 2015 Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange athlete, Jalen Julius, picked up an additional in-state scholarship offer from a school out of the AAC on Tuesday night. The Sunshine State product talks about his latest offer, his top five schools, possible visit destinations, and more below.

Jalen Julius and a handful of his Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange teammates have hosted a lengthy list of collegiate coaches from around the nation this offseason.

Julius, 5-foot-11, 175-pounds, is an explosive threat on the offensive side of the ball with offers from the likes of Auburn, Florida, Georgia Tech, Mississippi, Ohio State, Oregon State and Tennessee.

On Tuesday, the Sunshine State product picked up an additional in-state offer in close proximity.

"I got South Florida today," Julius said. "I saw the South Florida coach at school today and I said "what's up?" to him. I went to class and then later on in the day, my coach told me they wanted me bad and offered."

Julius tuned in for a few of the Bulls' games in year one with Willie Taggart at the helm in Tampa Bay.

"I know a little bit about the Bulls," Julius said. "I know they got the coach from Miami Central, (running backs) coach (Telly) Lockette. They almost a chance to beat UCF last year. It was a close game. I watched some of their games."

As far as visits, Julius has his sights set on a pair of in-state programs, as well as three schools residing outside the State of Florida.

"I want to go back to Florida and Miami again," Julius said. "In the summer time, I'll probably visit Ole Miss, Tennessee and Ohio State."

Five schools have ascended up Julius' list of suitors and have the early lead for his services.

"Ole Miss, Florida, Temple, Oregon State and Ohio State (are my top five)."

Julius could possibly end the recruiting process and commit to a school during his senior campaign.

Probably around October or something like that."

Julius reports a max of 235-pound in the bench press and 345-pounds in the squat.
