Bart Flips to UNC

Defensive end Mikey Bart confirmed he switched his commitment from South Florida to North Carolina on Friday.

UNC assistant coach Deke Adams visited Buford (Ga.) High School on Friday morning and secured the verbal commitment from Bart.

The 6-3, 245-pounder also plays tight end, but is being recruited to play defensive end at UNC.

UNC offered Bart last June, joining Cincinnati, South Florida, Southern Miss, and Syracuse. Bart then visited Chapel Hill later that month. After UNC seemingly ran out of available scholarships for his position, he committed to South Florida in November.

His former teammate at Buford, linebacker Nathan Staub, signed with UNC last year and redshirted for the 2011 season.
