PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Less than 24 hours after the two-point victory over St. John's, Rutgers and coach Mike Rice were back at practice with sights set on a 3-1 start in conference play.
Rutgers basketball has not been ranked in 34 years and has not started this strongly in Big East play in nearly a decade.
Continuing to say "why not us?" Rice spoke with reporters about coming back down to earth before facing a ranked Cincinnati team Saturday night at the RAC. Expected to be a street fight, Rice discussed his hope for Rutgers fans to understand the importance of the game and what it means to his team.
