Offensive tackle Shawn Curtis (Orlando, Fla./Olympia) is no stranger to visits. He's already made four official visits, with his most recent this past weekend to see Wake Forest.
"I really enjoyed this one and it was a good visit," Curtis said. "They need offensive linemen up there. That's big for me. They have a great coaching staff that I like a lot. I have been actually talking with them for a while. It's a great looking campus that is small and quaint. Wake Forest is also a great academic school. I am thinking about business [major] right now."
Curtis, 6-foot-5 and 275-pounds, has already visited Virginia, Syracuse, and Iowa State and made an unofficial visit to Mississippi State. He says two schools standout right now.
"That Wake Forest visit stacked up pretty well with Iowa State," Curtis said. "Those are my top two, my favorites but I am still considering everyone."
"I enjoyed everything about Iowa State. That was probably my favorite visit."
Olympia is 5-4 on the season but 4-0 in their district. They face Orlando Timber Creek in the first round of the playoffs. That's the home of sophomore standout running back Jacques Patrick.
"He's quite good," Curtis said. "We need to have a better game plan this time. I may have to play some defense that game."
