The Bulls had their final scrimmage of fall camp on Friday and afterwards talked about their performance.
Offensive Guard Danous Estenor
Danous Estenor says he likes the depth that is developing on the OL. He was pleased with the way the first team ran the ball today, especially Marcus Shaw.
He's also impressed by Max Lang's progress. On defense he says Luke Sager has stood out and thinks he has improved a lot since last season.
USF Defensive End Ryne Giddins
Giddins said as a unit they played pretty good, saying Luke Sager had a sack today and Eric Lee did well today. He estimates the defense had about 5 sacks today. How does he feel to be near game week? "It's like music to my ears. Being done with camp is awesome just knowing the things we got accomplished and thing we’re working towards.”"
On what he thinks of Marcus Shaw, "That kid's amazing. We call him 'Squirrel" said Giddins. "Because a squirrel has fast, quick movements, and that's exactly how he is on the field."
Running Back Marcus Shaw
Marcus Shaw says he's been practicing hard and studying the playbook, and scored 3 touchdowns in the scrimmage TDs and gave credit to the line. "The line, I don't know what got into them. I think they ate all their breakfast."
Shaw said he's focused on staying healthy through a long season, but says the biggest change has been his mentality during the off season. "I have matured a lot. I used to be a bad little kid."
