Tampa Bay Tech ATH Benjamin set for decision

Richard Benjamin, Tampa Bay Tech's athlete is set to announce his college choice today. The 3-star prospect has narrowed his choices down to three schools, USF, UCF, and Vanderbilt and is set to make his announcement this afternoon.

Tampa Bay Tech's Richard Benjamin, a 3-star athlete with over 40 offers, is ready to name his college choice.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound wide receiver/athlete has over 40 offers but recently trimmed his list to a top three and is ready to announce.

"Yes sir it's down to USF, UCF, and Vanderbilt.

The local standout talks about each of his three

"USF, it's the home school, I can stay home and be around my friends and family. They have great facilities and the coaches love me there, they really do. They be fighting on which side of the ball I'll play on, whether it's receiver or safety, it's up to me."

"UCF, I just like it because it's away from home but close to home. It's also an uprising program and I know I can go there and be effective soon."

"Vanderbilt is a chance to be far away, education wise, and they have good coaches also."

The Tampa Bay tech standout thought about making his announcement last week, but has moved back his announcement to next week.

"I'm doing Monday at 4pm," said Benjamin. ‘It's going to be live on Bright House."

Benjamin said he's looking forward to getting his decision out of the way.

"Yes I'm looking forward to making a choice, that way I can focus on my grades and know that I'm set to go to college just in case something happens to me."
