USF Learns 2012-13 Big East Opponents

The Big East Conference announced the league opponents and sites for the 2012-13 campaign with the Bulls facing against Louisville, Marquette, Connecticut and Villanova twice next season. USF also hosts Syracuse, Marquette, Georgetown, Notre Dame, UCONN, Providence, DePaul and Villanova, at the brand new Sun Dome

On Thursday, the BIG EAST released the home and away conference opponents for the 2012-13 men's basketball season.

In 2012 the Bulls will host 10 NCAA tournament teams, hosting Louisville, a Final Four participant and five other NCAA Tournament teams, while facing four Tournament teams on the road.

Besides Louisville, USF will host in regular-season BIG EAST Champion and No. 1 seed Syracuse, No. 3 Marquette, No. 3 Georgetown, No. 7 Notre Dame and No. 9 Connecticut. Also making trips to Tampa are Providence, DePaul and Villanova.

USF will play 18 conference games, playing 10 opponents once and four teams twice. The home and away match-ups for the Bulls are Louisville, Marquette, Connecticut and Villanova. 

The Bulls face another tough road schedule with games against No. 3 Marquette, No. 4 Louisville, No. 6 Cincinnati and No. 9 Connecticut. Both Marquette and Cincinnati reached the Sweet 16 last season. Rutgers, St. John's and Villanova complete the Bulls road schedule. 

The rest of the Bulls 2012-13 conference schedule is to be announced at a later date.
