“I called Coach [Mark] Richt and committed to him Tuesday night,” Brandon Kublanow told Scout, “I actually called Coach [Will] Friend first and I told him that I was ready. He was excited and Coach Richt was too when I told him. I am now committed to Georgia."
Kublanow delivered the news to Richt on Tuesday, but the feeling Georgia was the school for him took place over the weekend.
“I visited Georgia over the weekend and I wanted to keep that a secret so it wouldn’t be a big deal. I knew when I was over there that it just felt right for me to go there.
“I really like the coaches there a lot, they have a great combination of academics and football, and I think Georgia has a chance to win a National Championship and I want to be a part of that.”
The 6-foot-3, 295 pound offensive lineman out of Marietta (Ga.) Walton could play guard or center on the next level and either position, he will take fire, intensity, and strength.
After picking up offers from Florida State, LSU, Miami, Tennessee, and USC all offered the four-star guard over the past month, but Kublanow chose Georgia over Clemson, North Carolina, and Vanderbilt in the end.
