Kofi Amichia, McEachern stand-out offensive lineman chose USF in July and this weekend took his official visit to Tampa.
"The visit was great and a lot of fun," said Amichia. "It was definitely more than I expected."
"I had a great time with the players and coaches, and seeing everything again," said Amichia. "I got to meet with my academic counselor, eat a lot of good food and had a real good time on the boat cruise around Tampa Bay. Everything was great."
Kofi already visited USF and loved the campus and the facilities, but when he visited during the summer class wasn't in session, so he was anxious to meet and interact with the team and students.
"It was great to be with my future teammates and exciting," said Amichia. "Just being around the players and the coaches and seeing how they interact with each other was great."
Kofi was hosted by Bulls offensive lineman Danous Estenor and got to spend time with his future teammates.
"Danous was real cool and down to earth guy. He showed me around and introduced me to all my teammates. He seems like a well respected guy and everybody around him treated me like family, and I appreciated that," said Amichia. "I also met Quinterrius Eatmon, Darrell Williams and a bunch of guys. They're all real cool, and were having fun and joking around."
"I also got to meet all the other commitments. Guys like Sean Price and Dvario Montgomery, Jarvis McCall, Daniel Perry," said Amichia. "We all talked and bonded with each other. It was a nice experience. Everybody seemed real cool and excited."
Amichia also got to attend the Bulls annual football banquet and took a lot out of it.
"The banquet was real cool and done first class," said Amichia. "I especially liked how Coach Holtz talked about his players, he talked about them and told stories. You can tell he really cares about them. The senior presentation and video was real nice also. "
"You can really see that there's a family atmosphere around the program," said Kofi. "Nobody is a stranger around here."
Amichia talked about how the visit made him feel about his commitment to USF.
"The visit makes me even happier with my decision to come here and I can't wait to be a Bull!" Kofi said. "I'm real pumped to get there now and I can't wait to sign, get my work out plan and get started on that. I'm real excited."
The 6-foot-4, 266 pound lineman is rated a 3-star prospect ranked the 91 best offensive tackle by Scout. After his senior season Amichia earned 1st team all-County, Offensive lineman of the year at his school, and was selected for the All-State all-star Game.
"I feel honored and blessed," said Amichia "But I know I got to keep working harder so I can do even better things at the next level with USF."
