Following the Bulls 17-44 loss to Pittsburgh, several players commented about the game. USF is now 4-1 for the season and 0-1 in Big East play. See what QB B.J. Daniels, LB Sam Barrington, and FS Jerell Young had to say following the loss.

USF Quarterback B.J. Daniels
On Pitt's defensive strategy:
"The most frustrating part was not being able to get the ball and keep a sustaining drive. We were not able to meet our goals as far as third down and that was most disappointing. We expected to move the ball and score. It was disappointing to not be able to come out in the second half on the first drive and score. Pitt did a good job with containing the edges and we knew that was what they were going to do but we failed to take advantage of it."

On dropping the conference opener:
"There are a lot of veterans on this team who have already been faced with this exact situation. There has not been a Big East team that has been undefeated in awhile. We still have the rest of the season to go and were not hanging our heads low by any means. A lot of us have been here before and we have seen this happen. We're definitely going to come out harder next time and make sure we are successful. At the end of the day this could be a blessing in disguise. This loss could be an extra motivating factor for the rest of the season."

USF Linebacker Sam Barrington
On the play of Ray Graham:
"Playing linebacker and looking from my position, Ray Graham is an outstanding player in my opinion. He came out and played his best game tonight. He did a great job and I commend him for doing that. Whenever we are facing a player of that caliber we have to come out and do a better job of containing that player. He put up outstanding numbers tonight. We have to get better. We have to do better. That wasn't our style of football. That wasn't USF defense that was out there tonight."

On the upcoming bye week:
"We definitely don't want to go into a bye week with a loss, but a bye week is always helpful whether you lose or win. Our guys will have a chance to get healthy. It also gives us a chance to tighten up some things that we messed up on in those first five games. We are going to utilize this bye week to the best of our ability and take the opportunity to get better."

USF Free Safety Jerrell Young
"We have a lot of work we need to do and it could not come at a better time with eighteen days off to fix our mistakes. We are not where we need to be at all. From the beginning, I knew Ray Graham was special. That is one of the best running backs I have seen since I have been here. I have seen Ray Rice and everybody, but he is the best I have played against. We've got to do a better job with running to the ball as a team. We have a lot we need to work on in this bye week."
