"It was a good camp, it was very organized and I liked it," said Montgomery. "The USF coaches know what they're doing and it was run very well. Every player was going and everybody was getting reps, and everybody was getting noticed and getting attention from the staff. I really enjoyed myself and liked the camp."

The scout.com 4-star receiver has been to USF many times, for camps and practices and enjoyed getting to spend more time with the staff.

"It was really great to be with all the coaches again and to work with the receiver coaches and to know them better on the field," said Montgomery. "Every time I come here they welcome me with open arms and make me really feel great to be here."

The 6-foot-2, 210 pound receiver put on a clinic at the camp, showing he has the size, speed, and skill to be one tough guy to cover. Montgomery showed he can go past you, through you, or over you just as easily and just would physically manhandle smaller DB's.

"I think I did pretty well out there and put on a good performance," said Montgomery. "All of the coaching staff was telling me how well I did. They told me my performance on the field was simply outstanding.

The coveted 4-star receiver has over 40 offers and recently trimmed his list by more than half with USF, LSU, Alabama, Oregon, UCF, Arkansas, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Michigan State, Louisville and Iowa State, making the cut. Montgomery said he plans to trim his list again and reiterated that USF is one of his leaders and will be making the cut.

"I really like USF and they are one of the top schools that I'm considering," Montgomery said. "They were with me in the beginning and were the first school to offer me. They'll definitely be with me in the end and will be one of my official visits."

Montgomery talks about what keeps USF at the top of his list.

"I really like a lot about this program. USF has a great football team, an awesome coaching staff, and when I'm there I feel like I'm at home," said Montgomery. "They doing a lot of things with the program, and all the new facility upgrades are just awesome. They're really coming up as a program and are coming up with a lot of good players and can do some big things in the future. It's something I would like to be a part of."

While Montgomery is preparing to narrow down his choices, he did say what he's focusing on when it comes down to making his decision.

"I'm looking at everything, from football, to the academics, to the overall atmosphere," said Montgomery. "I want to come in and start as a freshman, I know it won't be given to me and I have to work for it, but I just want the opportunity to compete. I want to be where I'll be comfortable at."

Winter Park is a two-time winner of the USF Sling & Shoot 7on7 and Montgomery and his teammates will be returning to Tampa at the end of July to defend their title as well as a few other tournaments.

"We'll definitely be coming back to defend or championship title," said Montgomery. "Besides that we got a 7on7 in New Smyrna that has a $10,000 prize and I think we're going to another one also. We got a lot of new guys and are working to be the best that we can be."
